Brief Summary

On this episode of the Daniel Latto podcast show, we discuss the challenges of growing a business and the importance of realistic expectations. It's crucial to make informed decisions, establish financial stability, and understand that most businesses face failures before finding success. This is Dan Latto, wishing you a great day, and we'll talk to you soon.

Long Summary

On this episode of the Daniel Latto podcast show, we delve into the challenges of growing a business. It's no secret that business can be tough, especially with the added pressures of the post-pandemic situation, the cost of living crisis, and global events like Ukraine. Many individuals dream of leaving their jobs to pursue their own ventures, but it's crucial to approach this with realistic expectations. While starting a business can be life-changing, it's important to acknowledge the hard work and potential negativity that can come along with it.

In our society, we are often bombarded with messages of limitless possibilities and the belief that we can achieve anything we set our minds to. However, the truth is that this outlook isn't always grounded in reality. Following your dreams and passions is undoubtedly important, but it's equally crucial to make informed decisions that are supported by data and research. Quitting your job and increasing your liabilities solely on the hope that your business idea will succeed is a risky move that should be approached with caution.

Our brains have a tendency to commit to a certain path and convince us that everything will align perfectly if we just work hard enough and have faith. Unfortunately, life doesn't always work out that way. The universe often lures us with false confidence and opportunities that may not lead to success. Therefore, it's crucial to have a realistic perspective and understand that most businesses fail multiple times before eventually finding success.

It's also important to establish other sources of income and ensure financial stability before fully diving into your business. This not only provides a safety net but also allows you to make more calculated decisions and take on fewer risks. While it might be disheartening to hear, this realistic perspective is aimed at preventing disappointment and encouraging a more practical approach.

Tomorrow, we'll switch gears and bring you a more positive episode, but for today, it's essential to understand the challenges and potential pitfalls of growing a business. This is Dan Latto, wishing you a great day, and we'll talk to you soon.

Why growing a business is really hard these days - The Daniel Latto Podcast Show - Season 9 Episode 39

Feb 16, 2024

Brief Summary

In this episode, we discuss the decline in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due to business failures and reduced cash flow. The lack of opportunities and diminished incentives affect both businesses and our clients. We explore the importance of seizing opportunities now and effectively communicating the value of products or services. Despite challenges, there are still growth opportunities if businesses navigate with agility and strategic thinking. Thank you for joining us, and we appreciate your support.

Long Summary

In this episode of the Wealth Creation Podcast and the Business Growth Show, we dive into the topic of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and its impact on the business world. The year 2023 has seen a decrease in M&A activity by a fifth compared to the previous year. This decline can be attributed to the increasing number of businesses going bust since 2022, resulting in fewer opportunities for M&A.

The lack of cash flow has also affected businesses looking to acquire other companies. With reduced economies of scale and decreased consumer spending, the incentive for mergers and acquisitions has diminished. Economies of scale, which include shared marketing, accounting, and supplier relationships, play a crucial role in expanding a business.

This downturn in M&A activity not only affects the business world but also has consequences for our clients. If their customers aren't buying, they can't afford our services. We have observed significant changes in our clients' businesses and marketplaces, with many of them valiantly trying to stay afloat amidst challenging times. However, there is a lag time between consumer spending and businesses catching up financially.

This lag time poses risks for struggling companies. If they run out of money, suppliers may lose patience and take legal actions, leading to their downfall. Furthermore, even if optimism increases and consumer spending rises, there is a backlog of bills that businesses need to settle, further delaying their recovery and ability to invest and grow.

Despite these challenges, seeking opportunities in M&A and preparing for the future can help navigate these obstacles. In the coming part of our conversation, we shift our focus to the upcoming election and its potential impact on businesses and the economy. We express optimism for change and suggest that a new government is needed to stimulate growth. While the markets usually prefer the Tories, we anticipate a period of optimism until Labour takes over. We highlight the lag time for optimism to kick in and the potential for increased cash flow and taxes as people start spending more.

We emphasize the importance of seizing opportunities now instead of waiting for optimism to return. It's crucial for businesses to effectively sell their products or services and communicate their benefits clearly. Clarity in business is essential to drive sales and ensure customers understand the value you offer. We discuss the need to position websites in a way that clearly communicates the benefits and the value of engaging in effective diagnostic conversations with potential customers.

In addition, we touch on the changing landscape of the UK and how business owners have the opportunity to focus on building their personal financial network. While we may not have the power to change the UK as a whole, we can make a difference on an individual level. We explore ideas for aiding the homeless population and delivering training funded by the council or provided for free.

In conclusion, we emphasize the need to get seen, get found, and sell effectively in 2024. It is crucial for businesses to have a clear and concise blueprint for their offerings and find innovative ways to communicate the benefits to potential customers. Despite the challenges and uncertainties, there are still opportunities for growth and success if we navigate this changing landscape with agility and strategic thinking. Thank you for joining us on this episode, and we appreciate your continued support.

SEO is going to be a game changer in 2024 (but only if you do it right) - The Daniel Latto Podcast Show - Season 9 Episode 37

Feb 14, 2024

Brief Summary

In this episode, we delve into the world of wealth creation and explore the concept of title splitting with Rachel Knight, the owner of TitleSplit. Title splitting involves dividing one property into multiple units with separate ownership, offering significant financial opportunities. We discuss the process, benefits, and challenges of title splitting, providing practical insights and tips for property sourcing. Plus, we highlight the value of assembling a knowledgeable team and offer a free download and discounted masterclass for further assistance. Don't miss out on this valuable episode!

Long Summary

In this episode, we dive into the world of wealth creation and the shortcuts that can help listeners increase their income. We are joined by Rachel Knight, the owner of TitleSplit, who sheds light on the concept of title splitting. Rachel explains that title splitting involves dividing one piece of land into multiple properties with separate ownership. This strategy is commonly used with apartments, and Rachel provides insights into the difference between freehold and leasehold properties. She also reveals that title splitting can be done with houses under permitted development regulations, allowing for the conversion of properties into apartments.

The conversation emphasizes the importance of understanding title splitting in property sourcing and highlights the financial opportunities associated with this strategy. For instance, splitting a two-bed terraced house into two two-bed flats can increase the property's value by 30%, sometimes even doubling its value on the day of purchase. This allows investors to maximize their profits by selling or renting out individual units. However, it is crucial to work with solicitors experienced in title splitting, as not all are familiar with the process.

The discussion continues with real-life examples and tips for property sourcing. The main speaker shares a success story involving the purchase of a property with three flats, where a refurbishment and title split resulted in an additional 30% increase in value. He recommends sourcing semi-detached houses with existing flats, refurbishing them, and completing the title split for optimal profits. Challenges may arise when attempting to split on sale, as banks may resist reducing security. In such cases, landlords often end up selling the unsplit block based on rent and yield valuation.

The main speaker emphasizes the value and potential of title splitting, urging listeners to focus on unsplit blocks or commercial properties that can be converted to residential under permitted development. Furthermore, he highlights the process of converting a house into two flats and addresses the challenges of splitting utilities. Soundproofing and proper coordination of professionals, including solicitors, are essential elements in this strategy to avoid financial setbacks and ensure a successful transaction.

Throughout the episode, the main speaker offers practical insights and shares valuable information to guide listeners through the title splitting process. He mentions the importance of consulting professionals and assembling a knowledgeable team to navigate this complex endeavor. The speaker also discusses the financial aspects, including property valuations, tax savings, and lender options like Shawbrooke, who offer block mortgages based on rent and yield multiples. To further support investors, the speaker mentions their company's CPD accredited training program, which equips participants with the necessary knowledge and skills.

The episode concludes with a call to action, encouraging listeners to reach out to the company for further assistance. The main speaker expresses gratitude to the audience, inviting them to like, subscribe, and support the podcast. A link is provided for a free download and discounted masterclass, and follow-up calls are offered to discuss individual situations.

How to Make Money from Tile Splitting - The Property Cashflow Show - The Daniel Latto Podcast Show - Season 9 Episode 36

Feb 13, 2024

Brief Summary

Hey everyone, it's Dan here, stressing the importance of SEO for long-term business success. It's not a quick fix, but investing in targeted keywords and niche phrases can set you apart. Reach out for a website audit and valuable insights. Don't miss the opportunity to boost your bottom line. Take that first step today!

Long Summary

Hey everyone, it's Dan here, and today I want to discuss the importance of search engine optimization (SEO) for the long-term success of your business. We have been tirelessly working on optimizing our website and helping our clients with their SEO strategies.

Now, I want to make it clear that SEO is not a quick fix or an overnight solution. If you're looking for immediate results, focusing on creating quality content will yield better short-term outcomes. However, if you're in it for the long haul and plan on growing your business over time, investing in SEO is absolutely crucial.

The great news is that SEO is more affordable than you might think. Contrary to popular belief, you don't need a huge budget to make it work for you. The key lies in targeting specific search terms that are relevant to your business and your target audience.

Sure, you may not be able to rank for generic terms like "plumber in Leeds." But fear not, there's a better approach. Focus on more specific terms such as "emergency plumber in Leeds" or even localize your targeting by using local postcodes. By homing in on these niche key phrases, you can effectively set yourself apart from the competition.

Don't waste your time trying to compete with big conglomerates for top-level search terms. Instead, channel your efforts towards connecting with your specific audience. For example, if you're in the credit card business, targeting terms like "best credit cards" may be out of reach. But you could pivot towards niche phrases like "credit cards for first-time buyers in Leeds." This way, you cater to a specific market and increase your chances of visibility.

The first step for you is to reach out to us. We can conduct a comprehensive website audit and provide you with valuable insights and advice on improving your search engine rankings. Even if you decide not to utilize our services, knowing where you currently stand can be immensely beneficial.

Remember, doing something is always better than doing nothing. So take that first step, whether it's contacting us or making necessary changes to your website. Investing in SEO can make a significant difference to your bottom line over time, so don't miss out on this opportunity.

I hope you found this information useful, and I'll catch up with you all in the next video. Until then, take care!

Let's talk about SEO in growing your business for the long-term - The Daniel Latto Podcast Show - Season 9 Episode 35

Feb 12, 2024

Brief Summary

In this part of the podcast, we discuss the importance of customer experience in business growth in 2024. We highlight the significance of quick response times and personalized attention to clients' needs. We stress the need for businesses to prioritize customer experience to attract recommendations and gain a competitive edge. We also emphasize the value of authentic marketing, showcasing the true self and building trust with the audience. Staying updated on innovation and the latest trends is crucial for business growth, including adapting to short-form content and utilizing various platforms. Prioritizing customer experience and adapting to trends can lead to significant growth and success in 2024.

Long Summary

In this part of the podcast, we delve into the importance of customer experience in growing a business in 2024. We share a personal experience of receiving poor customer service from a management company and how it frustrated us enough to reach out to the CEO. We contrast that with our own approach to customer service, highlighting how we prioritize quick response times and personalized attention to our clients' needs. We emphasize the significance of a positive customer experience in attracting recommendations and gaining a competitive edge. We also express our frustration with other companies, such as British Gas and Santander, that have subpar customer service. We believe that businesses should focus on improving their customer experience to thrive in the coming year and share an example of how we have recently enhanced our web design department's customer service by adding a new manager. Overall, prioritizing customer experience can lead to significant growth and success in 2024.

We are constantly striving to improve our level of customer service and are frustrated when we see others providing poor customer service with contempt for their customers. One way to grow your business in the future is by increasing the level and consistency of authentic marketing. Authentic marketing means showing your true self, including flaws and sometimes inappropriate jokes or swearing. We have had success with this approach, showcasing our clients' success stories, conducting interviews, and creating various types of content to distribute across social media. Authentic marketing not only drives traffic to your website but also improves the conversion and sales process. It's important to have a clear funnel in place and make it easy for visitors to take the desired action. Removing friction, such as making it easy to schedule a strategy session or contact us, is crucial for converting leads.

In order to grow your business in 2024, it is important to stay updated on innovation and the latest trends. For example, Facebook groups used to be the go-to for driving traffic, but now they are no longer effective as Facebook has changed its policies. It is crucial to keep up with these changes. Another important trend is short-form content, such as shorts, stories, reels, TikToks, and Snapchat. These formats are more effective in driving traffic and building awareness compared to long-form content. The strategy we recommend is to use shorts for subscriptions and long-form content for sales. This involves posting short versions of content across various social media channels while also providing access to longer-form content. For example, this live stream is a long-form piece that will be shared on various platforms, while shorter snippets will be chopped and posted separately. We also have a podcast show and a combination of audio-only and video content to cater to different platforms. This shift to the latest trends has resulted in increased views and reach for our clients, allowing them to reach a wider audience. It is essential for your business to adapt to these trends as well. Click like or subscribe to our podcast for more valuable content.

Brief Summary

In this episode, we discuss the pros and cons of hiring virtual assistants. The necessity for a virtual assistant depends on the scale of your business. Smaller enterprises or solopreneurs may be interested in having additional support, but there are challenges to consider. One major obstacle is cultural differences, which can result in a mismatched aesthetic for your brand. Language disparities can also be problematic, leading to confusion. Training and supervision are crucial when working with virtual assistants, as explicit instructions and feedback are necessary. Even local assistants require training and supervision, especially in technical fields like website design. Ultimately, the decision to hire a virtual assistant is subjective, so we encourage you to share your thoughts in the comments section. Take care and have a fantastic day!

Long Summary

In this episode, I delve into the topic of virtual assistants and provide my perspective on why you should think twice before getting one. The necessity for a virtual assistant is often contingent upon the scale of your business. Smaller enterprises or solopreneurs may be enticed by the notion of having additional support, but there are numerous challenges to consider.

One significant obstacle stems from cultural differences. If your virtual assistant hails from a different country, their divergent taste in website design may result in an outdated or incompatible aesthetic for your brand. Language disparities can also prove problematic, as variations in spelling and pronunciation can lead to confusion.

Moreover, training and supervision play pivotal roles when working with virtual assistants. It is incumbent upon you to provide explicit instructions, offer constructive feedback, and invest time in teaching them how to correctly execute tasks. This is especially pertinent for technical virtual assistants, such as website designers. While they may have proficiency in tools like Canva, the final outcome may lack the professional finesse you desire.

Even if you choose to hire local assistants, training and supervision remain essential. In my line of work, which encompasses digital marketing, we often find ourselves educating business owners on best practices rather than exclusively relying on their expertise.

Ultimately, the decision to employ a virtual assistant is a contentious one, with opinions diverging. I invite you to share your thoughts in the comments section and continue the conversation. Take care, and have a fantastic day!

Brief Summary

In today's episode, we explore the benefits of transitioning a business online. This includes reducing costs, providing convenience to customers, expanding our reach, tracking engagement, and enhancing the overall experience. Thanks for tuning in!

Long Summary

In today's episode, we delve into the advantages of transitioning a business into the online realm. One key benefit is the reduction in costs that can be achieved by eliminating physical meetings and travel expenses. By conducting operations online, we can save money and redirect those resources towards other areas of the business. Another advantage is the convenience offered to customers. With online platforms, we can provide easily accessible resources and information, such as FAQs and product guides, enabling customers to find answers and solutions at their own convenience. However, it is crucial to maintain a human touch in the sales process. While automation has its place, it is important to remember that personal interaction plays a crucial role in building trust and understanding customer needs. Moving our business online also expands our reach exponentially. Unlike physical events with a limited number of attendees, online platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn allow us to connect with a much larger audience. We can reach our target demographic, as well as individuals who may have never encountered our brand before. This wide reach enables us to bypass gatekeepers and directly communicate with our desired audience. Furthermore, online platforms provide us with valuable tracking capabilities, allowing us to discern which keywords and content generate the most traction and engagement. Armed with this information, we can refine our content strategy to focus on what resonates with our audience. Lastly, going digital offers convenience not just to us, but also to our customers. With the ability to schedule calls and appointments without the need for travel or parking, we can make conducting business as hassle-free as possible for our clients. This customer-centric approach fosters loyalty and enhances the overall experience. Thank you for tuning in to today's episode. We hope you found these insights on moving a business online helpful. As we embrace the new year, it is important to acknowledge that it will come with its fair share of opportunities and challenges. To truly make the most out of 2024, you must be prepared to put in the necessary effort and dedication.

Simply relying on the same amount of work and strategies as in 2023 won't be enough, as everyone around you will be stepping up their game. That means you have to step up too. By increasing our output, we can capture more attention and reach a wider audience.

In addition to ramping up our content production, we will be focusing more on outreach initiatives. This will involve making introductions via email and actively seeking out networking events to attend. Through these efforts, we hope to forge new connections and strengthen existing relationships.

Brief Summary

In this episode, we discuss the digital transformation of UK businesses, the role of social media, and the potential of AI. We emphasize the importance of engaging with your audience, utilizing AI for content ideas, and embracing authenticity in marketing. E-commerce and membership courses offer exciting opportunities for growth. Thanks for listening, and don't forget to like and subscribe. This is Dan Latto signing off.

Long Summary

In this episode, we delve into the digital transformation of UK businesses and how it can impact your wealth and success. The online landscape is rapidly evolving, and businesses need to adapt to stay ahead. The COVID-19 pandemic has only accelerated this shift towards online transactions and interactions. Social media plays a crucial role in this transformation, allowing businesses to showcase their values, expertise, and offerings to a wider audience. It's essential to curate the narrative you want to be known for on social media platforms.

We also explore the fascinating realm of AI and its impact on our lives. I share my experience of using AI to generate show topics, turning to chat GPT for inspiration. AI can help with generating ideas and even assist in creating marketing campaigns, but it's important to use critical thinking and not blindly rely on AI-generated suggestions. The future of AI in voice recognition holds great potential for personalized recommendations, reminiscent of iconic sci-fi moments like Captain Picard interacting with the computer.

We emphasize the current window of opportunity to utilize AI in generating content ideas for your business. AI can be a valuable tool, but it's crucial to still actively engage with your audience and explore various topics. The growth of e-commerce and the rise of microtransactions present exciting prospects for businesses. Taking control of your online store and incorporating features like clickable links in your social media posts can drive traffic to your website. Additionally, membership courses are gaining popularity as a profitable avenue to explore.

Authenticity and relatability have become paramount in marketing. User-generated content and testimonials from real customers can contribute to success. This provides a great opportunity to create raw and engaging content that resonates with your audience. We discuss the success of our sheep sharing video, which garnered 300,000 views due to its raw and authentic nature. There's enormous potential for growth in 2024 by creating videos that allow viewers to get to know, like, and trust you. Whether structured or spontaneous, there's a place for both types of podcasts.

To wrap up, we hope you found this episode useful and insightful. We appreciate your support and encourage you to like and subscribe to the entire podcast. Thank you for listening, and we look forward to catching up with you in the next episode. Have a great day and take care. This is Dan Latto signing off.

Brief Summary

In this episode, we discuss whether humans hibernate during winter and strategies to overcome the winter slump. We also explore the importance of conscious awareness, setting goals, and developing confidence. Towards the end, we express gratitude to our guest and invite listeners to join the High Value Man community. Stay motivated and have a great weekend!

Long Summary

In this episode, we delve into two thought-provoking topics. First, we explore the question of whether humans hibernate or not. While it may seem like a silly question, it's worth considering the patterns and behaviors we exhibit during the winter season. As the days get shorter and Christmas approaches, it's common to feel sluggish and unmotivated. We discuss our personal experiences with this winter slump and how factors like daylight and mental well-being, such as Vitamin D intake, can make a significant difference in overcoming it. We also address the importance of recognizing these tendencies and making positive changes to avoid falling into unhealthy habits.

Moving on, we shift our focus to the idea of coming out of a slump, particularly during the transition from the Christmas season to the new year. It's crucial to maintain a clear vision and purpose to stay motivated, despite the challenges presented by cold weather and dark mornings. We explore the concept of being aware of our genetics and the natural inclination to hunker down in winter. Balancing our public image of productivity with genuine action is important, and we discuss the High Value Man Program's One Thing Challenge as an example.

We also touch upon the significance of conscious awareness and the power it holds in our lives. By consciously making decisions and taking action, we can overcome slumps and achieve desired results. We highlight the need for individuals to have a clear understanding of their goals and actively work towards them. We emphasize that confidence is not an inherent trait, but something that can be developed through education, experience, and a positive mindset. Mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth, and with the right mindset and consistent action, success can be achieved.

Furthermore, we explore the concept of future memories and the power of visualization in goal setting. We encourage listeners to focus on positive outcomes and embrace confidence in their abilities. We discuss the impact of self-talk and the role it plays in shaping our actions and attitudes. Taking the path of self-improvement and consciously working towards our goals may be challenging, but it leads to personal growth and success.

Towards the end of the episode, we express gratitude to our guest Johnny for joining us and provide listeners with information on how to get involved in the High Value Man program. We also extend an invitation to join the High Value Man community on Facebook. In closing, we appreciate the support of our listeners and encourage them to like and subscribe to the podcast. We wish all our listeners a wonderful weekend ahead.

Brief Summary

In this episode, we discuss the importance of planning for the future and setting actionable goals. By creating a specific plan and committing to it, we increase our chances of achieving meaningful outcomes. Join us as we explore the significance of planning and how it can shape our future.

Long Summary

In this episode, we delve into the importance of planning for the future, specifically looking ahead to the year 2024. We explore how simply having intentions is not enough, as they lack substance and often fail to come to fruition. Instead, we emphasize the significance of setting specific tasks and goals that require physical action and have clear deadlines.

By reframing intentions as actionable goals, we make them more tangible and increase the likelihood of success. For example, rather than just intending to reach a certain weight, we encourage listeners to establish a specific weight goal and develop a comprehensive plan to achieve it. This might involve committing to a minimum number of workout sessions per week, following a structured dieting and carb intake cycle, and regularly tracking progress.

The key here is to have a solid plan in place, as it significantly enhances the chances of achieving desired results. Without a specific plan, success becomes elusive and elusive. Therefore, we urge everyone to take the time to create a detailed and realistic plan for their goals, and most importantly, remain committed to it. By doing so, we can turn intentions into actionable steps and ultimately achieve meaningful outcomes. So, join us as we explore the importance of planning and how it can shape our future.

Planning for 2024 - The Daniel Latto Podcast Show - Season 9 Episode 27

Jan 27, 2024

Brief Summary

In this conversation, we discuss the simplicity of content marketing and how it doesn't have to be complicated or fancy. The key is to create valuable content and share it on various platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and podcasts. We stress the importance of keeping it simple and not overthinking the process. You can grab your camera or phone and start recording your thoughts or insights. Content marketing is accessible to anyone, and it's the distribution that can come later. So don't hesitate, get started now and have a great day!

Long Summary

In this podcast episode, we delve into the world of content marketing. We discuss how people tend to make content marketing more complicated than it needs to be and emphasize the simplicity of the process. Content marketing boils down to creating valuable content and sharing it on various platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and podcasts. It doesn't have to be extravagant or elaborate; you can simply grab your camera and start recording. We stress the importance of keeping content marketing simple: determine what you want to say, use your phone or video camera to film it, and then easily distribute it on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other podcast platforms.

We emphasize that content marketing doesn't have to be fancy or complicated; anyone has the ability to create content and share it widely. We acknowledge that some people may feel unsure about what to say, but encourage them not to overthink it. For example, in this podcast episode, we started with a simple headline and spoke off the cuff about what content marketing is. While we like to add editing and distribute the content to different platforms, we highlight that you can simply create content and upload it as is.

The key takeaway is to focus on creating the initial piece of content and then worry about distribution. We emphasize not overthinking the process, but rather grabbing your phone and starting to create content about your business or industry. It can be as simple as sharing your thoughts or insights. So, don't hesitate – get started now and have a great day!

How to do content marketing - The Daniel Latto Podcast Show - Season 9 Episode 26

Jan 26, 2024

Brief Summary

In this part of our conversation, we discuss the crucial role of quality backlinks in search engine optimization and emphasize the effectiveness of guest blogging on relevant websites. We also highlight the importance of user experience, including site speed and easy navigation. Additionally, we stress the significance of original and high-quality content that brings value to users and is tailored to their search queries. For any questions or assistance with search engine optimization, we encourage listeners to reach out to us. Don't forget to like and subscribe for more valuable insights.

Long Summary

In this part of the conversation, we delve into key shortcuts that can help listeners grow their wealth and income while also increasing their time off. We kick off the discussion by exploring the crucial role of backlinks in search engine optimization ranking factors. I stress the significance of quality backlinks and caution against the practice of purchasing or acquiring irrelevant ones, as they simply won't yield the desired results. Alternatively, I suggest the possibility of engaging in guest blogging on relevant websites, which can prove to be an effective strategy.

Furthermore, I point out that while requesting backlinks from other websites can be fruitful, an even better approach is to offer value to these websites and reach out to those whose existing backlinks are no longer functional. This personalized and targeted method tends to yield higher success rates. We also touch upon the importance of producing high-quality content and how it can organically attract natural backlinks from other reputable websites.

Moving on from backlinks, we shift our focus to another critical ranking factor—user experience. In particular, we emphasize the significance of site speed and ease of navigation. I share a personal anecdote of encountering outdated and clunky websites on my mobile device, highlighting how such experiences can turn users away. Google recognizes this user behavior, and websites that can keep users engaged for longer periods are more likely to rank higher in search results. To achieve this, it is essential to make your website "sticky" and work towards reducing bounce rates. Additionally, having a mobile-friendly website with proper formatting and a secure SSL certificate is crucial for good search engine optimization.

We then delve into the significance of original and high-quality content. I stress the fact that copying and pasting content from other websites is ineffective and easily identified by Google. To ensure content is considered original and of good quality, it is essential to edit and create unique content that truly brings value to users. Being relevant to users' search queries is also crucial, and we emphasize that the more specific and tailored your articles are to the keywords you aim to rank for, the better chance you have of appearing in search results.

To wrap up the conversation, I encourage listeners to reach out to us if they have any questions or require assistance with their search engine optimization endeavors. And as always, I express gratitude to our listeners for tuning in and remind them to like or subscribe to our podcast for more valuable insights.

Search Engine Optimisation Ranking Factors - The Marketing and Sales Show - The Daniel Latto Podcast Show - Season 9 Episode 25

Jan 25, 2024

Brief Summary

In this episode, I'll be sharing insights on how to start a business with little to no money. Find something to sell, either your own product or someone else's. Connect buyers and sellers to earn a commission. Test the market before investing in stock or a website. Persevere, hone your sales skills, and prioritize making actual sales. Good luck on your entrepreneurial journey!

Long Summary

In this video, I will be sharing my insights on how to start a business with little to no money. As someone who has successfully started a lettings agency with only £10, I understand the challenges that come with limited funds. However, I want to emphasize that in today's digital age, starting a business has become even more accessible with the power of the internet and social media.

So, where do you begin? The first step is to find something to sell. This can be your own product or service, or even reselling digital marketing services. If you don't have something of your own, consider finding someone else's product to sell. Look for opportunities where you can connect buyers and sellers and earn a commission in the process.

Let me give you an example. If you come across homeowners in need of roof repairs, you can act as the middleman and connect them with reliable roofers. For each successful referral, you earn a commission. This way, you're not investing money in stock or a website upfront, but rather leveraging your ability to bring people together and make sales.

Now, let's talk about finances. I strongly advise against taking out large loans for stock or a website before you have made any sales. It's important to test the market first and ensure that there is demand for your product or service. A business truly exists when it generates revenue, so focus on making actual sales before investing your hard-earned money.

Finally, I want to emphasize the importance of perseverance and not relying on fluke success. Starting a business is a journey, and it requires dedication and hard work. Don't get discouraged if you face hurdles along the way. Instead, focus on honing your sales skills, building relationships, and constantly learning and improving.

Remember, starting a business with little money is possible. Utilize the resources available to you, leverage your skills, and most importantly, prioritize making actual sales. Good luck on your entrepreneurial journey!

How to start a business with no money - The Daniel Latto Podcast Show - Season 9 Episode 24

Jan 24, 2024

Brief Summary

In this episode, we discuss the importance of personal responsibility and self-reliance. We explore taking charge of our own happiness in relationships and work. Additionally, we touch on changing behavior based on results and the significance of small, positive actions. We address resistance and emphasize the need for self-awareness. Lastly, we explore injecting energy into relationships and highlight the core principles of being a high-value individual.

Long Summary

In this episode, we delve into the concept of personal responsibility and the importance of taking control of our own lives. We begin by discussing the dangers of relying on others to save or support us, highlighting the need to be self-reliant. Our guest speaker shares their experience of using an anonymous Twitter account to express their opinions, emphasizing that nobody is coming to help us.

We extend this idea of personal responsibility to relationships and work, emphasizing the need to take charge of our own happiness. We explore the idea that a relationship should be a bonus in our lives, not our entire focus. We discuss how self-reliance and self-awareness allow individuals, particularly men, to weather any storm and find genuine happiness.

Additionally, we touch on the importance of changing behavior based on results. Rather than giving up or indulging in negative habits when things don't go as planned, we encourage doubling down on the actions that lead to desired outcomes. The focus should be on the work itself, not solely on the results.

In the realm of relationships, we discuss the significance of small, positive actions and gestures. From date nights to cooking meals and buying flowers, we emphasize that it's the combination of various actions and behaviors that truly strengthen a relationship.

We address the resistance some men may have towards these ideas, highlighting that it's not about blaming or berating anyone, but rather about being aware of our own behavior and areas for improvement. We stress the importance of taking responsibility and viewing the bigger picture.

Furthermore, we discuss the natural changes that occur in long-term relationships and the need to adjust our expectations. We explain that the success or failure of a relationship is not determined by a single factor but rather by a combination of actions, such as active listening, responsiveness, and care for each other.

Shifting gears, we explore the concept of injecting spark and energy into relationships and businesses. We discourage using date nights as a time to discuss problems and instead encourage approaching our relationships with a beginner's mindset. We suggest engaging in unique and enjoyable activities, stepping out of our comfort zones, and trying new things.

We then dive into the core principles of being a high-value man, including clarity, courage, and commitment. We emphasize the importance of having a clear why and a strong moral compass to endure challenges and achieve our goals.

Additionally, we discuss the influence of masculinity and the role that men play in parenting and divorce situations. We stress the importance of self-awareness, reflecting on our actions, and consciously choosing better ways to respond to create a positive environment.

The main speaker reflects on their own personal journey towards emotional control and self-awareness, highlighting the value of remaining calm in heated situations. They share personal experiences and growth, emphasizing that understanding emotions and seeking fulfillment can lead to personal growth.

Furthermore, we explore the need for balance in life and the realization that we have a choice in how we respond to situations. We discuss the concept of pattern interrupts and the importance of recognizing when a shift in behavior is necessary. This extends to improving relationships and engaging in meaningful conversations with loved ones.

We conclude the episode by expressing gratitude for the listeners' support and encouraging them to leave reviews and connect with us. We value the feedback and aim to provide value to others through our discussions.

Why Nobody Is Coming To Save You In 2024 - The Mindset and Hustle Show - The Daniel Latto Podcast Show - Season 9 Episode 23

Jan 23, 2024

On this episode of the Daniel Latto Podcast Show, we challenge the idea of normality. We discuss having no friends as we get older, the importance of consistent exercise, and the misconception around income levels. Embracing being not normal can lead to personal growth and success. Stay tuned for more episodes.

Long Summary

In this episode of the Daniel Latto Podcast Show, I discuss the concept of normality and challenge the perception of what is considered normal. I point out several things that are not normal, starting with the idea of having no friends, especially as you get older. I emphasize the difficulties in maintaining friendships and the struggle to make new ones. Another thing I mention is the notion that maintaining a consistent workout routine in your 40s and 50s is not normal. However, I share my belief in prioritizing exercise for its positive impact on longevity and mental well-being. I also touch on the idea that earning over £100,000 a year is not considered normal, and explain that an income between £30,000 and £50,000 is more typical. I caution against comparing oneself to those on social media who may be presenting an exaggerated image of their wealth. I acknowledge that my own perspective may be considered not normal, but I attribute it to my success in endeavors such as my property portfolio and digital marketing agency. I admit the need to improve my social life, particularly by building face-to-face relationships, while facing the challenge of living in Spain with a limited command of the language. I reiterate that being not normal is not necessarily negative, and share my dedication to maintaining a daily workout routine and striving to earn a higher salary. I emphasize that being not normal is perfectly fine and can be beneficial, especially when it aligns with one's personal goals and aspirations. I encourage listeners to set goals and make the necessary sacrifices to achieve them, highlighting the importance of designing one's own life. I mention a Japanese male model who started his career in his 70s as an example of how it's never too late to pursue dreams. I emphasize that being not normal should be embraced as an opportunity to stand out and be unique. I sign off by mentioning that I'm now picking up my child from school and invite listeners to stay tuned for the next episode.

Why you need to learn to keep pushing through - The Daniel Latto Podcast Show - Season 9 Episode 20

Transcript:

[0:00] Hey it's dan so in this video we're going to talk about just pushing on through, welcome to the daniel latto podcast show fresh content covering business investing marketing money health and more hey good morning it's dan hope you're well today so it's very very cold here in spain it may look sunny and i also may be wearing shorts but it's cold right uh it is very very sunny in fact but it's still cold and um this morning you know i got up and i'm like oh just cannot be bothered going to do my crossfit session which is exactly where i'm headed now and it's true i can't be bothered and then i was kind of laughing because i'm like how many times do i come on a video and go oh i can't be bothered it's crossfit i'm too tired i'm too cold everything aches and it's true i am too tired i am too cold and everything aches but it's just just this idea you know i've tried to watch my weight trying to kind of push that down which is really difficult through december because you know december's for fattening up isn't it basically so you're on to all the comfort foods and the fires on and all the rest of it and it's like you know what the thing that really helps me control my weight is the crossfit and And it's like, in order for me to hit my weight goals, the CrossFit really does, it just literally pulls me through to being able to do that.

[1:28] And so really that's the motivation. And if it wasn't that that was the motivation, I'd have to literally go and find something else to motivate me.
And I guess this is the point I'm trying to make, is that, you know, in life we all have these different motivations.
And it's about you plugging into the motivation that moves you the most.
For me, it's weight loss, right? And so if I know that it's weight loss and I know that going to CrossFit kind of puts in place the weight loss.

[1:55] It makes kind of sense for me to go to crossfit workout it puts the rest of the day um into, context and it means that i'm gonna do well for the rest of the day because usually the crossfit sessions are difficult um which mentally puts me in a good place because if something difficult happens during the day it's not as painful as the crossfit stuff and this kind of reminds me about michael jordan you know in the nba finals he would be trying to motivate himself with whatever he can He was out at dinner one night during the playoffs, and George Carl, who I think was the coach for the Utah Jazz, was in a restaurant.
And they saw each other, but George Carl didn't acknowledge him, you know.
Boy, that was it for him. For Michael Jordan, it's like, oh, that's how you want to play, do you?
And that was his motivation. And he used to find motivation from antagonising other players.
And now, interestingly, when I used to play a lot of basketball, I was a very good player, you know, 30 points a game kind of thing.
And I would also utilise that method of motivation. I would talk shit, basically, to the guy defending me.
And I'd be like, well, you're tall, but you're crap. You're strong, but you're not very good, are you? You know, you're a bit thick.
So I would purposefully antagonise them, because I knew that that would make me play better, because they would defend harder.

[3:16] Interesting methodology of doing it, don't you think? But this is about you finding your motivation, whatever's going to work for you is fine and for me it's you know i need to lose that weight so i need to go to crossfit because crossfit pulls the weight in the right direction and for me that's what it is now for you it might be something different and that's fine you just got to work out and find out what is that thing that's going to get you moving today or tomorrow or this week all for 2024 all right we're at crossfit wish me luck hey what's normal.
